The ITI Scottish Network is pleased to announce the long-awaited relaunch of its website on 1 December 2007. In addition to undergoing an extensive makeover by the network's webmaster Iwan Davies, the site now offers enhanced functionality both for users seeking a translator or interpreter and for networkees wishing to update their directory profiles.
The revamped site prominently features the network's new logo designed by Ozan Caba to give a flavour of our Scottish identity within ITI through the incorporation of the stylized thistle and St Andrew's cross in the Rennie Macintosh-style lettering, all in a tasteful thistle-coloured font.
Businesses or individuals seeking to employ the services of a linguist will welcome the brand-new translator/interpreter search facility linked to a live database. Users will now be able to immediately identify qualified professionals based in Scotland who are able to provide the language services they require.
Networkees will also benefit from the addition of a dedicated members zone. Among other things they can find out what is going on in the network, update their own directory profiles and sign up for network events.
The site also features useful FAQs for buyers of interpreting and translation services, as well as old favourites such as our amusing collection of translation howlers.
